1886 - Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde oleh Robert Louis (Balfour) Stevenson


Mac 1923 - Weird Tales edisi pertama telah diterbitkan yg menjadi titik-tolak majalah genre horror bersiri di Amerika.
1927 - Howard Phillips Lovecraft iaitu salah seorg penulis Weird Tales telah menghasilkan buku Supernatural Horror in Literature yg menjadi rujukan horror terkenal sehingga kini.
