1847 - George W. M. Reynolds menghasilkan novel gothic serigalajadian yg pertama bertajuk Wagner, the Wehr-Wolf1820-1870 - Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine telah memperkenalkan cerpen2 gothic oleh:
